Without the Tools menu how do I personalize my preferences in Office 2007?

In previous versions of Office, you could set your preferences for specific views, displays, and editing settings using the Tools/Options menu command. Since the Tools menu is no longer available in Office 2007 you are probably wondering where the Options commands have been moved. In Office 2007 the Options commands are now located under the Microsoft Office Button.

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button.Microsoft Office Button
  2. Select Word Options, Excel Options, PowerPoint Options, or Access Options button.
  3. The program setting that control your preference will be displayed in the Options dialog box.
  4. Using the Series of Tabs on the left, you can access the individual commands to customize.
